Hanoi countryside Jeep tour

Our Hanoi countryside Jeep tour starts at your hotels in and around Hanoi Old Quarter. We soon leave the busy streets of Hanoi via a scenic road winding through the city’s Old Quarter, through the urban outskirts, and into the countryside. We’ll cross the famous Long Bien bridge and zipping along the maze of the zigzagging alleys in the outskirt villages of Hanoi on the other side of the Red river. Leaving the city behind, we then get to the countryside, riding along the winding country roads, taking us to the paddy fields to meet friendly local people where the live and work in their farms and livestock such water buffalos, ducks, chickens, cows… It is a great opportunity to have hands-on experiences about farming works and building cultural connections. After the spending time in the field to learn about Vietnamese rice farming, we then ride to the countryside village where live such friendly people. Not only meeting local people at works, we also meet them at home, local markets, school and community places and temples. One’s destination is never a place but a new way of seeing things. Our destination is Co Loa ancient citadel of Au Lac Kingdom, dating from the 3rd century BC, considering as the oldest citadel in Vietnam. It is interesting the learn about the origin and mythology of Viet people and their ancestors. We then have a short walk around the village, visiting a local bonsai garden, chatting with locals and enjoy lotus fragrance tea at the very local tea-house as local people do for entertainment.
  • 8 :00AM or 12:30  your tour guide  pick you up at your hotel lobby.
  • Then we’ll head out for our ride! First we cross the Red to enjoy the panoramic view of the Red River, watch the boats float underneath and see the green vegetable farm on the island.
  • Continue we ride to the countryside  along the Red River’s banks to take in the stunning beauty of Vietnam’s countryside and see farmers cultivating their lands. We’ll make a visit to a local family making bonsai to learn about this intricate art form and admire some of the stunning plant creations. This is a wonderful way  to learn more about local daily life and tradition, our guide will  assist us to chat with them as a translator. 
  • Following that, we will cruise to a local wet market and taste some tropical fruits. We take a break at lotus lake to fill our thirst with scugarane juice or some local fresh drinks.Keep cycling through dirt roads and rural villages until we arrived at Co Loa Ancient Citadel which was built in 200 BC to learn about Vietnam’s tradition of establishing and defending the country against foreign invaders of Thuc Phan An Duong Vuong.After that we will visit Hoi Phu village, which is well-known for producing broomsticks, a popular traditional craft in the Red River delta. Guests will observe talented broom makers as they create functional and beautiful broomsticks out of broom grass.
  • We’ll for lunch at a local restaurant where you can savor Hanoi’s delectable cuisine. Then get your caffeine fix with a unique Egg Coffee before getting back to your hotel. Let us share our love of Hanoi with you.
